OVM’s Single - side Bidirectional Anti - slip Technology for extradosed bridge Boosts the Dongming Yellow River Bridge Reconstruction Project
OVM has successfully completed the installation of cables for the extradosed bridge in the G106 Dongming Yellow River Bridge reconstruction project, marking a new construction phase for this key transportation route across Shandong and Henan Provinces, China.
The Dongming Yellow River Bridge, located northwest of Heze City in Shandong, is Shandong’s longest highway bridge spanning the Yellow River and is known as the "No. 1 Bridge in Qilu". The main bridge, designed as a central cable plane large cantilever prestressed concrete box girder partial cable-stayed bridge with a span arrangement of (75 + 7 × 120 + 75) meters, features eight pylons. Each pylon has five pairs of stay cables on both sides, forming a unique "multi-pylon linkage" landscape with a total of 80 pairs of stay cables. In this reconstruction project, OVM is responsible for providing the customized OVM250 Multi-strand stay cable system and installation services.
The G106 Dongming Yellow River Bridge reconstruction project is expected to be fully opened to traffic in 2025. Once completed, the bridge’s traffic capacity will triple, with an annual freight volume expected to exceed 5 million tons. This will strongly promote the deep integration of Dongming County’s advanced chemical industry with the Central Plains city cluster and advance the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
